Who Are We?

RusTThuiS vzw

Our non-profit association was founded in the course of 2018 after we felt, each from personal experience or environment, a need for a good and fair initiative to the issue of "Living longer at home." We came up with the idea of resident care-assistants as a worthy option. Seniors can continue to enjoy their familiar environment and their loved ones are relieved of worry .

We decided to work with only Belgian assistants who obtained a degree as professional caregiver or healthcare professional. This way we keep a close eye on the quality and personal follow-up of our service.

The Team

With a professional training as a nurse and experience in sales, I am the perfect person for a first contact and personal follow-up. My human approach and caring nature make me an accessible point of contact. You can always contact me with questions and problems about our service. I am looking for your ideal assistant.

Ann - Director /  First  Contact

As three friends with a first work experience behind us, we decided to join forces and tackle a social problem. Our grandparents are still quite well, but we noticed that most of daily chores became a bit harder to do. Yet none of them ever wants to go to a residential care center. Behind the proverb: "Old trees are not transplanted", hides a truth so we started looking for alternatives. We take care of the operational and functional aspects of our non-profit organisation.

Our Assistants Share Their Thoughts

"I have always liked working with people, the satisfaction and experiences you get in return are incredible. As a personal assistant you create a strong bond that makes you feel good about your work. The living-in aspect is a plus for me as I can economise my wage entirely. "

Jessie

"I am happy to be able to contribute to an innovative alternative that offers seniors a chance to live at home for as long as possible. You also get a lot of good response from the immediate family. Seeing someone reflourish, that's what's motivates me."
